Kindergartners will take their cap & gown photos for diplomas. We recommend students not wear hoodies underneath the cap and gown as it may impact how the gown fits for the picture.

Please note that this is the picture that will be included on your child's diploma. Proofs will be sent home for optional picture package purchase.

Family Heritage Night was a wonderful evening for the EVCS Community! Students, staff, and families across both campuses gathered to share culture, art, music, and food.

Thank you to all the volunteers that made this special evening happen!

Voting for the yearbook cover contest takes place this week on November 18 and November 19.

Each student will be able to place a vote for their favorite finalist design at the Main Office.

As we enter the winter weather, please make sure your child comes to school with jackets, hat, gloves and boots. Students go outside for recess every day unless it is raining or very blustery.

The Community Associations are collecting non-perishable items for a Thanksgiving Food Drive to assist those in need in our school community at both campuses.

Food donations can be brought to classrooms from November 3 to November 21:

• Kindergarten - Cranberry Sauce
• 1st Grade - Canned or Powdered Gravy
• 2nd Grade - Corn Bread or Biscuit Mix
• 3rd Grade - Canned Veggies
• 4th Grade - Stuffing
• 5th Grade - Mashed Potatoes
• 6th Grade - Mac & Cheese
• 7th Grade - Dessert Mix
• 8th Grade - Canned Yams

The Community Associations are hosting a flash sale this month! Pick-ups will be at the Hertel Campus vestibule at later date to be announced. Funds raised will support both the Days Park Campus and Hertel Campus:
