Anything but a bag day Anything but a bag day

On Friday 16th January, we will have anything but a bag day. The children are encouraged to bring their school supplies in 'anything but a bag'.

This is a fun activity for the children and it isn't compulsory to take part. I've linked some ideas below - there should be no expense for this activity as the children can just use something from home (the funnier the better!)

School tours School tours

Learn Together tours will begin this month. Information and payment requests will be sent on Aladdin.

We are also currently organising school tours for May/June. In the coming weeks, you'll receive an aladdin notice and payment request with details of these tours.

If the cost of any tour presents a difficulty for your family, please speak to us in confidence. We are always happy to discuss this discreetly and work with you where possible. We want every student to have the opportunity to take part.

We are delighted to welcome you on the following dates for Fáilte Friday. A reminder that Fáilte Friday is between 8.25 and 8.40am and a chance for you to bring your child to their class, meet their teacher and other staff that work with them and see some of their favourite pieces of work.

Hot School Meals Hot School Meals

There will be an information evening for parents on Thursday 15th at 7pm in the school hall. Our aim is to commence the Hot Lunches programme on Monday, 26th January. On Wednesday, 21st January, your child will receive an information leaflet along with login details for the app, which will allow you to select your child’s meals in advance of the start date.

In parallel with this, we will begin the formal recruitment process for a lunch operative in the coming week. While this process typically takes 5–6 weeks to complete due to advertising, interviews, and Garda vetting, I am pleased to confirm that we have already secured a Garda-vetted individual who has agreed to commence the role from Monday, 26th January, ensuring there is no delay to the service.

Collecting early Collecting early

Please let your child's teacher know at least 24 hours in advance (where possible) if you need to collect your child early. We will do our best to have them ready for you once we receive advanced notice. Class teachers do not access Aladdin during the school day so may not see your notification.
