Without trying to cut your summer short, I wanted to update you with a valuable resource and the building schedule for the year. The last few weeks have been busy and I am more than ready to see all of you on the 22nd! Each time we sit in interviews, candidates consistently ask, "What makes St. Joe such a great place to work?". Our answer is always, "The people!". All of you, along with our students and families, make this work rewarding. I can't thank you enough for all you do in so many ways.

Looking forward to seeing you soon! Continue to enjoy this beautiful town and your families this week!

Lincoln Informational Resource Hub Lincoln Informational Resource Hub

This summer, the LIT (Lincoln Improvement Team) met to bring clarity around our building expectations and procedures. Committee members consisted of JoAnne Gruchot, Andrea Confer, Jenny Laukus, Christine Starks, Kendall Harmening, Gretchen Peek, Andria Ettinger, and Renee Abbott. The discussion and ideas brought to the table during our summer work was critical to our effort of continual improvement. I can't thank these members enough for the gift these members gave to Lincoln School to ensure a smooth start to the school year and beyond.

As a result of this important work, an Informational Resource Hub was created. This hub will serve as a "one stop shop" for all things Lincoln. We hope that you find it a valuable resource. Please take some time to review it's content as this will help expedite our meeting on the 23rd. The goal is to get you into your classrooms as soon as possible. Providing your schedules and the Hub will help to frontload some of the information needed for the start of school.

If you have questions about any procedures, please feel free to reach out to any members of the team.

Lincoln Building Schedule

2023 - 2024 Building Schedules 2023 - 2024 Building Schedules

Below, please find a link to the building schedules. Note the tabs on the bottom that will help locate your specials, resource room times, SEL times, supervision times (draft form), etc. This year I have provided these time so that you can build your Tier 1 instructional times around all of the special events of a day. You will notice that there are not make-up Wednesdays this year and that some grade levels do not have common planning time every day. We are committed to ensuring that there is equity between classes with specials times, especially those that miss Thusday and Friday special times for 1/2 days. More will come on that later.

After the start of the year, I would like your grade level to present your Tier 1 instructional times to me in order to get them on the building calendar. Specific times for each content area are on the building document. Also notice that each elementary building has built in classroom meeting times in the morning and at the end of the day. Additionally, meeting time has been given to settle students after lunch. This can be used for mindfulness but should also include a brief meeting to ensure that problems impacting the learning community are voiced and resolved, or at least agreed upon to solve at a scheduled future time.
