Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we approach the week when report cards go home, I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s learning. Our dedicated teachers and staff have been working hard to support every student, and we’re excited to share the progress and next steps with you.
Here are a few key points as report cards go home:
How to Use the Report Card
Review your child’s strengths and the recommended next steps.
Use suggested at-home activities to reinforce skills and establish consistent routines.
Consider setting small, achievable goals with your child for the next term.
Next Steps and Planning
Talk with your child about their goals for the coming term.
Plan to participate in the upcoming Conference Day on October 20, 2025.
Stay engaged with school communications for updates on literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and school-wide priorities.
Practical Tips for Families
Accessing the Report: Instructions for viewing the report card online or receiving a paper copy.
Communicating with Teachers: Best times and channels to contact teachers or schedule conferences.
Home Learning Supports: Simple activities aligned to current learning goals (e.g., daily reading, math games, writing prompts, SEL conversations).
Celebrating Growth and Effort
Your child’s report highlights not only what they’ve learned, but how they’ve grown—perseverance, collaboration, curiosity, and the development of a growth mindset.
Look for examples of progress in reading, math, writing, and other learning areas, as well as social-emotional growth.
Clear, Compassionate Feedback
The comments aim to give a clear picture of strengths and areas for growth.
Please review the next steps and suggested activities to reinforce learning at home.
Equity and Individualized Support
We’re committed to meeting each child’s unique learning needs. If your child requires extra support or enrichment, you’ll see plans or recommendations to help them progress.
If you have questions about accommodations or services, our team is ready to discuss them with you.
Social-Emotional Well-Being
This term’s focus includes routines and supports that help students feel safe, confident, and connected at school and at home.
If your child is experiencing stress or anxiety related to school or grades, please reach out—we can connect you with resources and strategies.
Partnering with Families
You know your child best. Please share any context about home routines, successes, or challenges that can help us tailor our supports.
We encourage you to schedule conferences if you’d like to discuss your child’s progress in more detail.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we can ensure every child thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.
Warm regards,
Will Zwingmann, Ed.S.
Principal
