Spring Glen Spotlight
Highlights From the Week!
β‘Quick Highlights
Dear Spring Glen Families,
π It was an amazing first week here at SPG! Here are some highlights from the week:
- Students settled into new classrooms and began making new friends! Our newest Panthers (our Kindergarten friends) have made an incredible transition. If you saw them in the hallway, you would think they were already in first grade.
- I had the opportunity to meet with each grade level one at a time to introduce some new additions to our Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program: PAWS. Students learned more about our school-wide expectations in terms of Positivity and Respect, Accountability (I can "COUNT" on you), Wise Choices, and Safety across our school day and school building. Students also learned how they will earn PAWSitive tickets, and the purpose of reflective Think Sheets when struggling to demonstrate PAWS. Ask your child what it looks like and sounds like to be a PAWSitive Panther in the classroom, the lunch room, in the hallway, in the bathroom, out at recess, or on the bus.
- Arrival and dismissal routines have been extremely smooth on the school side. We appreciate you abiding by the rules and regulations to ensure a quick and efficient start and end to our day. Please reach out with any feedback, positive or constructive.
- Thursday evening, the PTA held their first meeting. There was a great turnout, and I am eager to partner with you all this year to bring exciting opportunities to our students and continue to help our community evolve and improve. Find the membership flyer below, which links directly to the membership site.
Thank you for your partnership and for your help to make our first week of the 2026-27 school year so seamless! I feel so lucky to be part of this special community and I'm looking forward to all that's to come. Have a fabulous long weekend!
Mike
