As you may have heard at Back to School Night, I believe that we have the best teachers and staff in the state of Maryland. This year, I would like to do more to recognize their hard work and efforts. Below is a form that you can use to recognize any HHS staff member. The form can be filled out by parents, students, community members, and staff members. You are welcome to share the form with other members of the community as well. These kudos, shoutouts, and kind words will be shared with not only that teacher, but the staff as a whole.

Congrats to Ava Beck for being named a Semi Finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program!! This is an outstanding accomplishment, and we are very proud of her. Every student who takes the PSAT is entered into the competition, but only a select few are named Semi Finalists. She will now complete against only 16,000 other students across the US with the hopes to be awarded as a finalist for the National Merit Scholarship. Good Luck!

The 2025 Hereford High Homecoming Dance will be Saturday, October 11, 7pm-10pm. Tickets will be sold through GoFan for $20. Students who are eligible to purchase a dance ticket will receive a unique purchase code in homeroom on the following schedule: Seniors on Wed., Sept. 24th, Juniors on Thurs., Sept. 25, Sophomores and Freshmen on Mon., Sept. 29.

The dance will be held in the school gymnasium this year. Heeled dress shoes and boots are not permitted on the gym floor. Consider bringing or wearing flat shoes.

On September 18th at 7PM all are welcome to join the Hereford Zone Tech Boosters membership meeting at the Hereford High School Library.

HZTB is proud to support: student activities related to: tech, aviation, drones, and robotics in Hereford.

Join the My Neighbors Foundation at the Hereford Graul's Market on Saturday, September 13 form 10 AM - 3 PM for the Community Day. There will be a cookout with Hot Dogs and Hamburgers, live music, and a portion of sales that day is donated to the My Neighbors Foundation.

Next Friday, September 19, is the first home football game of the season. Attached is the parking plan for home football games and other large athletic events.
