π’ A Message from the Principalππ
π Celebrating Community, Strengthening Partnerships, and Moving Forward Together!
βοΈHappy November, Comet Family!!ππ«
As we begin a new week and a new month, I want to express my sincere appreciation for the continued support, dedication, and partnership of our families, staff, and school community. At Carolina International School, our greatest priority remains the academic growth, personal development, and overall success of every scholar. Every day presents another opportunity to inspire, encourage, challenge, and support our students as they work toward reaching their fullest potential.
β° Daylight Saving Time Reminder
Don't forget! Clocks were set back one hour last night as Daylight Saving Time ended. We hope everyone enjoyed that extra hour of rest! Please make sure your clocks and morning routines are adjusted so our scholars arrive at school on time and ready for a successful week of learning.
π Celebrating Our Scholars!
Last week was filled with excitement as we recognized our scholars for their first-quarter achievements and successes! We are incredibly proud of their hard work, perseverance, and commitment to demonstrating our school's core values. These celebrations remind us that student success comes in many forms, and every step forward deserves recognition.
Our Kβ5 scholars also enjoyed a fantastic Character Parade and Book Ball! It was wonderful to see our youngest scholars proudly dressed as their favorite book characters, bringing stories to life while celebrating literacy, imagination, and creativity. The excitement and smiles throughout the day made this annual event a tremendous success! A special thank you to our teachers, staff, and families who helped make these experiences memorable for our scholars.
π Looking Ahead: Another Great Week at CIS!
π National Honor Society Induction
This week, we look forward to honoring and celebrating our newest National Honor Society inductees! This recognition reflects their commitment to scholarship, leadership, service, and character. We are proud of these scholars and look forward to celebrating this important accomplishment with them and their families.
π PTSO Fall Book Fair
Our PTSO will host its Fall Book Fair this week! We encourage our families to support this wonderful event, which promotes literacy and encourages our scholars to develop a lifelong love of reading.
Please see the PTSO section of this newsletter for additional information about the Book Fair and opportunities to participate.
π Our Commitment: Student Growth and Success!
As we continue through the second quarter, I want to emphasize that student growth and success are not simply goals we discuss; they are the driving force behind the work we do every day.
We want every scholar to experience meaningful academic progress, develop confidence in their abilities, demonstrate positive character, and recognize that success is achieved through effort, perseverance, accountability, and support.
Our commitment is to provide a safe, nurturing, and academically challenging environment where students are encouraged to grow and where high expectations are paired with meaningful support.
However, we cannot accomplish this work alone. Strong relationships between our families, teachers, students, and administrators are essential. I encourage our families to remain actively involved, communicate openly with teachers, reinforce academic and behavioral expectations at home, and continue partnering with us to ensure that every scholar has the opportunity to succeed. We value your voice, appreciate your trust, and welcome respectful, solution-oriented communication as we work together to make CIS stronger.
Let's continue to Lead with Respect, Demonstrate Responsibility, Embrace Service, and Seek Solutions in everything we do!
