Roosevelt Report
May 17, 2026
Principal Points
Dear Roosevelt Families,
What a memorable and exciting week it has been at Roosevelt!
One of the highlights of our week was welcoming our newest Tigers as we hosted Young 5 and Kindergarten Orientation. It was wonderful to see so many eager faces walk through our doors for the very first time. Our future students spent time exploring their new school, meeting staff, and getting a glimpse of the exciting learning adventures that await them this fall. The energy throughout the building was contagious, filled with excitement, wonder, and the beginning of many new friendships.
Our current students also had opportunities to look ahead to their next chapter. Recently, our fourth graders visited Cooper Upper Elementary to begin preparing for their transition to fifth grade. While it is hard to imagine Roosevelt without this amazing group of students, we are excited for all the opportunities that await them. Cooper is gaining a wonderful group of learners, leaders, and role models. We know they will continue to make us proud as they take this next step in their educational journey.
Friday brought one of Roosevelt's most cherished traditions as we welcomed back members of the Franklin High School Class of 2026 for their Senior Walk. Watching these graduates return to the halls where many of their educational journeys began is always a powerful reminder of how quickly time passes. Our students lined the hallways with cheers, smiles, and high-fives as the seniors made their way through the building. It was a celebration of perseverance, growth, and accomplishment, and a wonderful opportunity for our younger Tigers to see what is possible through hard work and determination.
To our graduating seniors, congratulations on this incredible milestone. We are honored to have been a small part of your story and cannot wait to see where your next adventures take you. Once a Roosevelt Tiger, always a Roosevelt Tiger!
As we head into our final days of the school year, we are grateful for the many moments that remind us what a special community we have here at Roosevelt. Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Let's finish the year strong together! ๐พ๐งก๐
