We are SO glad you are here and that you will be a big part of the Jasper Choir Program this year!

POP SHOW INFORMATION DOCUMENT IS GOING OUT TO STUDENTS ON FRIDAY 5/8!
HANDEL'S IS RESCHEDULED TO MAY 13th!!
Take a SHORT break from your AP Test Study Schedule and get some ice cream with us after school!
Students are encourage to bring their non-choir friends!!
We will meet in the choir room at 4:30 PM after school and head over to Handel's 15 minutes later at 4:45 PM!
Students should be picked up FROM Handel's no later than 6 PM! Directors will be leaving at this time, as well!
If your student/family cannot make it after school - you can mention Jasper choir any time between 5 and 9 PM! Thank you for your support!!

JASPER HS CHOIR SPRING TRIP 2026!
We are so excited for those who have signed up and registered to see WICKED with us on May 9th!
Please look over ALL details below:
- Students and Families who are riding the bus with us downtown should meet in the Jasper HS Choir Room at 4:15 PM. You may park in the front parking lot and enter Door #3 (nearest the tennis courts)
- Students and Families who are NOT riding the bus with us MUST meet us outside the main entrance of Fair Park Music Hall NO LATER than 6:45 PM so we can give you your ticket. Thank you for being on time!!!!
- Please keep in mind that these tickets were given to us at a SIGNIFICANT discount/school rate. These tickets are located on the 2nd balcony and in the back sections. However, we have been to Fair Park many times - and we feel the experience will still be wonderful for all.
- Students need to wear something nice. A tie or dress is NOT required - but students must look presentable/neat/clean/etc. Please do not wear sweats, sweatshirts, jeans with rips, flip flops, slides, etc. These are nice venues that we are attending.
- We plan to leave campus around 4:30 PM and arrive at Exchange Food Hall by 5:30 or 5:45 PM depending on how traffic behaves.
- All students MUST bring $$ for dinner at Exchange Food Hall. We feel $20 to $25 would be enough per student. If your student has dietary restrictions that would prevent them from eating dinner at Exchange Food Hall, please reach out to Mrs. Patel to make arrangements.
- There are also concessions for student purchase before the show and during intermission. This is OPTIONAL - and at the student/parent discretion.
- The show begins at 7:30 PM and runs approximately 2 hrs and 45 Minutes including the intermission. We hope to leave Fair Park around 10:30 PM and arrive back at Jasper around 11:30 PM. We will make sure every student contacts their ride when we leave Fair Park Hall. PLEASE be on time when picking up your student - this is a late night for all of us, directors included!
If you are transporting your student yourself - you must turn in the Alternate Travel Form.

UNIFORM RETURN - NO LATER THAN 5/18!
All Trebles must turn in a DRY CLEANED dress and their uniform bag no later than 5/18!
All Tenors/Basses must turn in their uniform bag and any borrowed uniform parts no later than 5/18!
We suggest washing the dress at home BEFORE taking it to the dry cleaners!
Dresses must be returned in dry cleaner plastic packaging with the receipt attached!
When items go unreturned - a hold will be placed on your student account. They will not receive their chromebook or schedule for next year until paid for or returned!

- Jasper HS Choir Pop Show is May 15th at 7:00 PM in the Jasper Cafeteria!
- General Admission Tickets are $5.00 - Reserved Seating Tickets are $10.00
- Children & Students with Plano ISD Badge get in for free!
- Our show will be STANDING ROOM only eventually - the chairs will run out! We typically have 500 to 600 in attendance every year and our program only keeps growing!
- We recommend Reserved Seating for anyone who wants to breathe easy knowing they will not need to arrive early to claim the spots they want. There are about 200 seats that can be reserved.
- ALL STUDENTS have a MANDATORY rehearsal on Thursday, May 14th from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM. Dinner is provided! We are very lucky to be able to put this show together in only 1 rehearsal!
- Ticket Sales will go live on May 1st - the links to purchase tickets will be sent out via email and also posted here on the Smore!

- 4/13 to 4/19 - Early Bird Pricing ($30)
- 4/20 to 4/26 - Price increases by $5 per ticket
- 4/27 to 5/3 - Price increases by $5 per ticket
- 5/4 to 5/10 - Price increase and FINAL CALL for ticket purchases!
- Any time you purchase 3 or more tickets you will receive 10% off of your total!
ALL FAMILY MEMBERS are invited to attend with their student - it is highly encouraged!
We had over 250 people attend our banquet last year!
Price Includes:
1. A full catered Italian Dinner from Bella Italia - Multiple food options (including vegetarian and gluten free), along with salad, breadsticks, assorted desserts and Iced Tea/Water
2. Full Awards Ceremony - each class receives silly awards and also prestigious awards like:
- Heart of the Choir
- Outstanding Musician
- Leader of the Pack
- Culture of Excellence
3. We will also award all students who participated in our All-Region/All-State Process and Solo Festival Contest!
4. We will also award the Lou Williams Service Award to students who have displayed sincere and consistent service to the Jasper Choir program all year long!
5. After dinner, students are invited to stay for our Student Only Dance Party that comes full equipped with an awesome DJ, lights/fog, full snack and candy bar, sodas/waters, and more!
6. During the dance party - we will also have Henna Artists on site for no charge!
7. Many moments also for pictures, selfies, with your family, directors and friends!

Jasper Choir will provide the blue ties for Tenor/Basses, and the dress for Treble voices. We also provide a uniform bag to all students at the beginning of the year. Students must return the uniform bag, and their borrowed uniform parts in May 2026. Dresses must be dry-cleaned. Thank you!

We have had students who maintained extremely high GPA's and gone on to the country's finest universities who still managed to be in choir all 4 years! Jasper Choir has former students who have received full scholarships to schools including Rice, Yale, UCLA, UT, and more.
Many universities (including Harvard!) actually use music as a personal identifier when considering applicants. If two students with similar GPA's are being consider - but one has had a healthy involvement in the Fine Arts - that student would be more considered than the latter.
You have to ask yourself.. what am I doing beyond my AP classes that sets me apart from other applicants? What am I involving myself in? What leadership positions am I pursuing? How am I shaping myself into becoming a worldly and well rounded applicant to pursue my true passions in higher education?
