On Thursday, April 17, Yancey County Schools are releasing early. Therefore, the bus will leave MECHS at 11 am to return to MHHS. If your students would like to stay for the remainder of the school day, they will need transportation.

On Friday, April 18th, Yancey will not run buses. Please have your student to the MHHS parking lot to catch the bus to MECHS by 8 am. The bus on Friday will be a white ACTIVITY BUS. They will return in the afternoon and should arrive at MHHS around 2:35 pm.

Students who are over the attendance limit in any class should make arrangements with that teacher to make up the needed time either before or after school. There is an hour each morning and an hour after school each day that can be spent on attendance make up for excused absences. However, the teachers may have duties/responsibilities. Therefore, you should SCHEDULE IN ADVANCE the make up days before you decide to just stay after school.

• Peer Tutoring is available upon request. Please email or speak with Mrs. Crosby.
• Students who are recievig tutoring from peers should be respectful and appreciative of the time and effort put forth by our tutors to assist you in academic success. If you choose to disrespect out tutors you will no longer be eligible for those services.
