From planning and setup to cheering on our runners, every bit of your hard work truly paid off.
It was wonderful to see our students, staff, and families come together for such a fun and energetic event. Thank you all for making it such a memorable day!

Our Parent & Teacher Conferences are just around the corner! This is a great time to connect with your child’s teacher and talk about their progress and goals. If you haven’t had a chance to sign up yet, here is the Sign-up link to schedule your conference.
Please be sure to select your child’s teacher from the tabs at the top and choose a time slot that works best for you.

Many families have already signed up for our Halloween parade. If you haven’t had a chance yet, please sign up soon so your child can join in the fun. We can’t wait to see all the creative costumes and celebrate together as a school community.

We are excited to honor our veterans this year and would love for your child to bring a veteran relative to join us for a special breakfast and assembly on Tuesday, November 11, 2025.

Help our school earn a $2,500 grant by becoming a member of the ABC/25 Foundation. Ivy Hill needs just 40 more families to join to meet our goal and receive this grant!

Become a member by October 17th, and your child(ren) will be entered into a drawing to win a ride to school with the Arlington Heights Police Department!

We appreciate the families who have already submitted their child’s required health forms.

However, some submissions are still missing or contain incomplete information. As we approach the State of Illinois REQUIRED EXCLUSION date of October 15th, it is crucial that all necessary forms are provided to avoid any interruption in your child’s education.

Our school nurses have been reaching out to families who need to submit updated information, so please be attentive to any communication via voicemail, email, or backpack mail. For any questions or further assistance, please visit our D25 Health Services page for the school nurse contact information.

Physical/Immunization Record:

• Required for all kindergarten and new students

• The physical must be dated on or after August 21, 2024

• Parents must complete and sign the health history section

• Immunizations Requirements must be met or include a MD approved schedule of administration

• Failure to submit the form and have it reviewed by the School Nurse prior to the OCTOBER 15th deadline will result in your child being EXCLUDED from school

Vision Exam Form:

• Required for all kindergarten and students new to the state of Illinois

• The exam must be completed by a licensed eye doctor and dated on or after August 21, 2024

• The official State of Illinois Eye Examination form is required

Every day that your child is not in school, is late or is leaving early the office needs to know!! There are three ways to notify us and they are available 24 hours a day!

1. Our GOOGLE FORM - just write in the information - you don't have to talk to anyone!

2. Our ATTENDANCE HOT LINE - Just call 847-398-4275 (the main number) and press 1 - leave us a message.

3. Email office - ihoffice@sd25.org

If you don't call, we are required to call you so PLEASE remember to call your child in absent, late or leaving early!!

We want every student to get home safely and smoothly, and your help makes a big difference! Dismissal is at 3:35 p.m. — please plan to pick up walkers at that time.

If your child’s usual dismissal plans change—for example, being picked up by someone different, walking home instead of taking the bus, or any other change—in addition to emailing your child’s teacher, please also email the school office at ihoffice@sd25.org

Thank you for keeping us in the loop! With your support, dismissal can be calm, organized, and as joyful as the start of the day.

October is Polish American Heritage Month! We celebrate the traditions, culture, and contributions of Polish Americans and the ways they’ve shaped our communities.

October is Italian American Heritage Month! We honor the culture, traditions, and achievements of Italian Americans and their impact on our communities.

Columbus Day, observed in October, commemorates Christopher Columbus’s arrival in the Americas in 1492. It’s a time to reflect on history and explore the impacts of his voyages.

Indigenous Peoples’ Day honors the history, culture, and contributions of Native communities across the country. It’s a time to reflect, learn, and celebrate their rich heritage

Diwali, the Festival of Lights, is celebrated by millions around the world. It is a time of joy, family gatherings, and spreading light and positivity. Diwali also symbolizes the victory of light over darkness and good over evil.

Halloween, celebrated on October 31st, is a day full of imagination and fun! Students love dressing up, enjoying parades, and showing their creative spirit.
