Principal's Message
Hello,
We held our first School Leadership Team (SLT) and PTSA meetings on Tuesday evening, and I want to thank the parents and students who came out in support. These groups support DHS in so many ways, and these volunteers are amazing, going far beyond the once-a-month meetings. Please consider joining the PTSA and attending an upcoming SLT meeting.
Over the first two weeks of school, we held class meetings that began by celebrating those who were new to or returning to DHS. We also congratulated seniors for making it this far and asked them to focus on their legacy as they progress through their final year of high school. For underclassmen, the emphasis was to ensure that students have connections with adults in the building, whether that is a teacher, a staff member, a club sponsor, or a coach. DHS strives to have an adult at school that students can go to in their time of need.
Finally, please join us tonight for the Naviance Parent University. This virtual session will help parents and guardians learn about Naviance and the support provided with college, career and life readiness. Parents will also learn how to view their studentβs Naviance activities and progress and access information to better support their future planning.
Sincerely,
Duane Sprull, Ed.D.

AP and IB Exam Fees and Information
Families are being asked to pay for their studentβs AP & IB exams at $126.50 per IB exam and $99 per AP exam. Fees for your studentβs AP & IB exams will be added to the Infinite Campus parent portal in August and are due no later than October 23, 2026. Students will be assessed a late fee for payments submitted after November 1, 2026. The late fee is $40 per test for AP & IB. We strongly encourage you to pay these fees online through the parent portal, but if you need to pay by check, please see Ms. Karina Green at DHS. LATE AP & IB EXAM REGISTRATIONS/PAYMENTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED AFTER DECEMBER 15, 2026. CSD strongly desires that the fees not dissuade any student who wants to pursue AP & IB coursework and assessment and opportunities for scholarships for families demonstrating financial need will be available. Please complete the linked form for assistance with AP/IB exam fees.
All AP students must sign up for the AP Classroom whether they are taking the test or not. Students must self-register for their exams, the coordinator or course teacher cannot register students for exams. Students will need to contact their individual teachers for their join code(s), see Joining Your AP Class Section (Student). Students must register themselves. For technical support for students: AP College Board Support for Students. DHS will administer all AP exams digitally or in hybrid form.
