"The time is always right to do what is right."
Caring-The foundation of Dr. King’s entire mission was rooted in love for humanity. He believed in a place where people of all backgrounds are cared for and treated with dignity. He didn't just fight for rights; he fought for the idea that we are responsible for each other's well-being.
Courageous-Courage isn't the absence of fear. It's the strength to keep moving on despite it. Dr. King faced challenges and personal danger and stayed committed to nonviolence. He showed us that standing up for what is right, even when it's difficult or unpopular, is bravery at it's.
Committed-Social change doesn't happen overnight. Dr. King’s commitment was lifelong. He spent years organizing marches, writing letters, and speaking across the country. He taught us that progress requires the persistent, daily dedication of people who refuse to give up on their dreams.
Creative-Dr. King was a great communicator who used creativity to shift the consciousness of a nation. Through his powerful speeches, and the strategic use of peaceful protest, he found creative ways to highlight injustice and inspire millions of people to imagine a world that didn't exist yet.
By practicing and internalizing the 4Cs, our learners will continue to live out Dr. King’s dream, helping to build a kinder world right here in our hallways.
Thank you for all you do to support, encourage, and partner with us.
Take care,
Tricia and Matt
