🎉 Support the Deer Run Library by joining the "Deer Run Birthday Book Club"! 🎉

The Deer Run Birthday Book Club gives students an opportunity to donate a book to the school library! Students get to choose their book (with Mrs. Dramble's help) during their birthday or half-birthday month. A dedication sticker with the student’s name will be placed in the book and it becomes a part of the DRE library! It is a wonderful way for students to leave a legacy at Deer Run!

Each book donation is $15 dollars per book, per student.

Step 2: Submit $15 donation (per book, per child) via Venmo (@drepto), Zelle (dreptotreasurer@gmail.com), or by check made out to “Deer Run Elementary PTO” and dropped at the front office.

"Let Me Run" is looking for volunteers to coach a Deer Run "Let Me Run" team!

"Let Me Run" is a curriculum-based running and wellness program for boys in elementary school. Twice a week for seven weeks, coaches guide teams of six to fourteen 3rd-5th grade boys through the program and each season culminates in a 5k race that celebrates the boys’ emotional, social and physical growth.

To bring "Let Me Run" to Deer Run, we need at least 2 volunteer coaches. A rotation set of 2-4 coaches allows flexibility. Biweekly practices last one hour and fifteen minutes. LMR provides coaches with the curriculum to guide lessons, exercises and fun activities. Coaches can be parents, staff, or community volunteers. Unfortunately we cannot allow last minute substitute volunteers in place of those signed up for parties if they have not completed the background check process. Thank you for your understanding. REMINDER: ALL parent/family members that wish to volunteer for the 2025-2026 school year will need to have a completed background check on file with the district. This will apply to classroom volunteers, PTO events, field trips and any other school event. This online process is quick, secure and free for applicants. Click button below to complete the process!

PLEASE NOTE: If any family member, other than a parent, is applying to volunteer please inform Carol Guthrie at guthrie_carol@dublinschools.net to ensure a timely approval!

CURRENT VOLUNTEERS: Be sure to double check the expiration date on your volunteer card. You cannot "renew" your card and instead must complete the background check process again before it expires. Thank you for attending to this well in advance of your volunteering date.

September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. In our efforts to educate and support our Dublin community, PERC, along with Dublin City Schools and the Franklin County Suicide Prevention Coalition, is offering a free Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) suicide prevention training. Similar to CPR, QPR is an emergency response to someone in crisis and can save lives.

This training is available free of charge to anyone in our community. There are three session options, and attendees only need to attend one training to be QPR trained.

There are a number of after school classes available for our Deer Run students, including art, robotics, fashion, engineering, and drama - there is something for everyone! Visit this link for registration information!

Are you signed up for "Kroger Community Rewards"? With a few simple steps, you can link your Kroger Shop Card to Deer Run and a small donation will be made to our school every time you shop. It does not cost you anything and it does not pull from your rewards.

Follow these steps to sign up -

1. Sign in to your digital Kroger account on the app or your computer.
2. In the drop down on the left hand side, Find "Rewards", then select "Community Rewards". On the website, click on "My Account" under your name, and then select "Community Rewards".
3. Search for "Deer Run Elementary School", select, and click "Save". Your selected organization will now display in the Kroger Community Rewards section of your account.
