No School Monday (January 20th) in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day

St. Peter School students and CYO players headed over to Harvard University for an unforgettable time at the Crimson vs. Princeton Men's Basketball game this past Saturday. Our talented students & CYO players got to scrimmage on the court at halftime, shine on the Jumbotron and cheer on our very own Gregory Cooper (SPS Class of 2018). Huge thank you to Gregory who spent time with our kids after the game. The Coop Troop was thrilled!

Catholic Schools Week is Approaching!

Dear Friends,

As you might know the annual celebration of all things Catholic School, Catholic Schools Week (CSW), is approaching at the end of this month. Our faculty is in the midst of planning exciting activities for everyone, and many of them include the opportunity for parents to volunteer and get involved. You will hear from the PA soon, but here are a short list of the opportunities available to parents during CSW (January 26-31st):

  • Celebrate your Parish Sunday: bring your child to the 9am mass in-uniform and bring them to parish hospitality afterward! Any student that attends the 9am mass in uniform will receive a Consider celebrating the mass with us on Thursday morning at 8am.
  • Celebrate the Community Monday: We will also have an exhibition game from the Harlem Wizards during the evening, so save the date!
  • Celebrate the Nation Wednesday: Open house is from 8:30 am-11:00 am. Invite your friends or familiy who are interested in hearing more about SPS. Wendy Burns could always use some parent volunteers to help with tours! This is also Career day, you should expect to hear from your homeroom teacher about coming to speak to the students about your career!
  • Celebrate Vocations Thursday: We will be having our second annual drive for the Harvard Square Churches Meals Program during Catholic Schools Week. After Mass on Thursday, January 30, the entire school will form a bucket line to Christ Church's soup kitchen, which is at the bottom of Concord Ave. outside of Harvard Square.
    • Harvard Square Churches Meals Program Requests:
    • backpacks

    • men’s t-shirts: M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL

    • men’s boxers: M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL

    • men’s coats: (winter and spring): M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL

    • men’s dress shirts: sizes M through 3X

LINK TO SPS FEBRUARY VACATION PROGRAM LINK TO SPS FEBRUARY VACATION PROGRAM

This winter, dive into a world of snowy excitement at our February Vacation Program! Packed with laughter, friendship, and thrilling activities, it is the perfect way for kids to make the most of the chilly season! We will be learning about the Wind! Students use their understanding of weather to engineer windmills that can cause the energy of the wind to perform work.

The program will run from Tuesday, February 18th to Friday, February 21st. You can join all week or on individual days! Each day we will have an art and craft, a science experiment, or a STEM project. We will also have a daily "special activity" (each day we will surprise our students with either cooking, yoga, a movie, or a talent show!). We will provide a morning snack at 9 am and an afternoon snack at 3:30 pm. Students MUST bring their own lunch. The regular day is offered from 9 am to 3 pm for $110/day ($399 if you register for all 4 days). We are also offering an early drop-off option from 8 am (for an additional $10/day) and a late pick-up option until 5:30 pm (for an additional $20/day). We are also happy to offer a special sibling discount of 10% (the first sibling will be full price and a discount will be applied to subsequent siblings). A minimum of six students each day is required to be able to run the program.
