Book Study-The Anxious Generation
This spring we have been reading The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt. We will continue reading this into next year. This is a good read for teachers and parents, and addresses the negative impact of cell phones on students along with the need for children to play. I will continue to share parts with parents as we make our way through this book. Here is the first segment just for parents. Parents

BOOSTERTHON IS COMING!
The Bridgewater Elementary School Fun Run 2025 | Save the Dates!
We're excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the Bridgewater Elementary School Fun Run 2025. Our goal is to raise $40,000 for classroom funding support, kindness retreats, field trips, enrichment tools, and learning activities throughout the year to benefit ALL students at Bridgewater Elementary.
We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community:
1️⃣ User-friendly fundraising platform
2️⃣ Character enrichment program
3️⃣ Fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students
As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s donation page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!
Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.

We are looking for Reading and Math Tutors for the 2025-26 school year. You can take action in our community by giving your time and talent to help students succeed with reading and math.
Tutors work individually or in pairs of students during school hours throughout the school year to provide extra practice and skill-building. Whether you’re a recent grad, career changer, stay-at-home parent or retiree, you can make a great tutor and help kids build essential skills. No experience? No problem. With training and on-site coaching, our tutors are prepared to help kids succeed.
Part-time and full-time positions are available beginning in August, October and January. Tutors receive a paycheck every two weeks plus additional money for college tuition or loans (tutors 55+ may gift the education award to their child, grandchild, stepchild or foster child).
