Message From the Principal
It’s a great day to be an Eagle!
It’s hard to believe that Thanksgiving is already upon us. As we head into the break, I want to express my sincere gratitude for our incredible school community. Our student leadership team organized a truly impressive food drive this year, and I could not be more proud of their dedication and heart. A special thank you to Mrs. Shock and Mrs. Snider for their guidance, encouragement, and commitment to helping our students understand the power of supporting families in need.
I hope this Thanksgiving break is filled with meaningful family time, great food, and moments to reflect on all the things that bring gratitude into our lives. I am thankful every day for our amazing students and staff, and for parents who are so generous with their time and support. Eagle Ridge is a remarkable place because of all of you.
Wishing you a wonderful and restful break.

Holiday Staff Gift Giving...
We are excited to bring back the Eagle Ridge Staff Gift Giving Program. This program is intended to be a convenient and affordable way for our families to provide our teachers and staff with gifts they love. This year, we are upgrading from a paper form to an online system. The online form can be accessed at the following link: https://ere-holiday-staff-giving-66684.cheddarup.com

The Holiday Shop is BACK....
The Holiday Shop is Around the Corner...
Monday, December 8th - Friday, December 12th
This event provides our students with the opportunity to shop for friends and family in the safe atmosphere of our school, while learning how to make real life shopping decisions. They will also be learning that giving is an important part of the Holiday season. Gift items start at less than $1, with most items priced between $1 and $10 and few up to $14. There will be adults available to assist students with their selections and checkout.
Please watch for a gift guide envelope coming home this week which may be used to send cash, checks (made out to ERE PTA), or a voucher that can be used with purchasing with a credit card (no credit cards are accepted at the shop) and listing the people your child is shopping for. Please send the envelope the day your child will be shopping and not before.
Volunteers are needed for the Holiday Shop!

ERE Book Club
ERE BOOK CLUB - Next Meeting Wednesday, December 3rd - 3:30-4:30PM in the Library
We are excited for our next Book Club meeting, a school-wide reading initiative for all grade levels. Here’s how you and your child can get involved:
How It Works
We will highlight a new children’s book for each meeting. Your child can read it on their own, with friends, or together with you.
Reading Options: You can check out a limited number of copies from the school library or access the book in various ways:
• Visit the public library
• Purchase a copy from Amazon or local booksellers.
• Download an electronic copy to a tablet or device.
• Download an audio version to listen to.
Activity & Snacks:
• Create a new craft for each book & enjoy a snack themed to the book.
Participation: Students can read all the books or just the ones that interest them. Books will span different genres and formats, including fiction, nonfiction, chapter books, picture books, and graphic novels.
Monthly Gatherings
Each month, we will host a special gathering for students who have read the book. The event will include activities, discussions, and a treat.
Reading Required: By signing up, you are committing to completely read the book by the meeting date. If your child has not read the book, it will be difficult to participate in the discussion.
RSVP
To attend the meeting, parents or guardians must complete the Google Form. Scan the QR code to the right to access the form or click the link in the Thursday Folder. Students not listed on the form will not be allowed to attend. RSVP HERE - GOOGLE FORM
We look forward to great reading adventures!

🌻 November Counseling Newsletter
Happy Fall from the Eagle Ridge Counseling Department!
Can you believe we’ve made it to November? As we enter a season of gratitude and togetherness, November is a wonderful time to focus on family connection, communication, and emotional wellness. Below are some helpful parenting tips and resources to support your child’s learning and social-emotional growth this month!
🍂 Parenting Tips for a Smooth November
1. Prioritize Family Connection Opportunities: Connection doesn’t have to be extravagant or complicated- you just have to be together! Consider Integrating: Going on a fall walk, sharing a meal together (screens free), or having a family game night or puzzle night
2. Keep Routines Consistent: With holidays approaching, schedules can get busy. Consistent bedtimes, screen limits, and homework expectations help students feel secure and focused.
3. Have a family gratitude practice: Encourage your child to notice the good around them. Try: Three Good Things” before bed, A family gratitude jar, Thank-you notes to teachers, friends & helpers
