A Message from Principal Smith
Parents,
Thank you to all the volunteers who helped for our first 7th grade social. PTO has been intentional on ensuring each grade level has something to look forward to so thank you!
This week, several parents came to my first principal's coffee talk. I hope every parent felt seen, heard, and appreciated. Some of the topics discussed included lunch, safety, curriculum, personalized academies, and our comprehensive school improvement plan (CSIP).
CSIP: I shared with parents that every principal has to create a school improvement plan. My goal is always open communication and transparency. With that being said, I want to share our building goals as it will provide insight on current and future changes.
- Achievement
- Growth
- Disparities in Achievement
- Social Emotional Learning
- MTSS (Multi-Tiered System of Supports)
- Student Discipline
- Student attendance
I will discuss our progress and topics more in detail throughout the school year and at the next principal's PTO meeting.
Thank you for all you do and have an amazing weekend.
