National School Breakfast Week is March 2-6!

We are celebrating the importance of starting the day eating a healthy breakfast. Breakfast helps fuel your brain, boost your energy and gets our students ready to learn for the day!

To make things exciting, here are what we are doing in our buildings.

At the elementary school, It's a Grade Level Battle! The grade with the highest breakfast participation all week will win an Extra Pizza Day the following week!

At the junior/senior high school, students will get a chance to pick up a punch card on Monday morning! If they eat school breakfast all week long, they will receive a special stamp then get to turn in the card on Friday for a Free Smart Snack at lunch!

Viking students, come start your day by eating school breakfast to try and win these fun prizes!

Thanks to our students and community, we have 277 pounds of caps weighed as of today!! That is 12 large bags of caps. WOW!! We still have three large bags to go through and weigh.

We need 400 pounds of caps to get our two benches, and we believe we will have them once we go through these last few bags. It is getting really exciting because when we go to turn in our caps, we will come back with benches!!

Keep the caps coming!!

Thank you,

Mrs. Gregory

We will be hosting our next Big Idea Event on March 23rd from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm in the elementary cafeteria. We encourage everyone to attend! There is always fresh produce and canned food items. This last month even had Boar's Head items, Lunchables, and fresh strawberries. There is no cost to attend, and you leave with a ton of food. Please consider coming

to our next event. We hope to see you there!

Attendance

Making sure your student is at school every day—and for the full day—is essential for their learning and success. Recently, the State of Indiana has updated attendance guidelines to be more strict, and we need your support in helping us meet these expectations. Please ensure your student is present each day. If they must miss school for a doctor’s appointment or another valid reason, be sure to provide documentation and turn it in to the office.
