Dear Families,

Welcome to the new school year! I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our families for your incredible support as we kick off the year. It has been a fantastic start, and our classrooms are already buzzing with energy, learning, and growth.

We are thrilled to have welcomed so many newly enrolled students and families to our school community! Teachers and students have been hard at work building strong classroom cultures, establishing daily routines, and diving right into our curriculum.

To help us keep our school days running smoothly and safely, please keep these important reminders in mind:

- Arrival Time: 8:20 AM

- Class Begins: 8:45 AM

- Dismissal Time: 4:05 PM

- Car Rider Pick-Up Deadline: 4:30 PM (All students must be picked up by 4:30 PM, as this marks the end of our staff contract time.)

Giving Market Fundraiser begins

The first Thursday of the month is Yeager Spirit day at Papa Johns! Make a plan to order pizza on our first one!

The Spirit Cart will be open during lunches one Friday each month. Students will have the opportunity to purchase items from the Spirit Cart during their lunch time. Items include water bottles, fidget toys, stickers, pencils, jump ropes, and much more. Items will range from $1 to $20. Our first spirit cart is scheduled for September 18th!

Cart Cash must be purchased online via School Cash by 12:00pm the day before each Spirit Cart Friday; any Cart Cash purchased after that time/date will be eligible for use the next month.

Students cannot bring money to school to be used at the Spirit Cart. Only Cart Cash will be accepted.

26-27 Yeager spirit shirts, long sleeves and hoodies coming soon! Check your email this coming week for a link to order!

Lunch visits will begin on September 8th. Students may have one lunch visitor no more than one time per week. Visitors must bring an ID and sign in at the front office. If you want someone other than a parent/guardian to visit for lunch, we must have a designee form on file (see registrar).

We are not able to accept lunch drop-offs of fast food, etc. Parents may drop off forgotten lunch kits if necessary.

All students at Yeager are able to receive free breakfast and lunch.

All of our students who reside in our attendance zone are able to ride the bus to and from school! You can get notifications of when they badge on and off the bus, as well as their bus information by downloading the My Ride K-12 app!

Backpack Buddies is a program for students through a partnership with CFISD, Cy-Hope, and the Houston Food Bank. Each week, eligible students take home a discreet backpack filled with a variety of shelf-stable items—such as canned goods, juice or shelf-stable dairy, snacks, and other ingredients—enough to help feed the whole family until school meals resume. Please complete this interest form and the Yeager counselor, Mrs. Harrington, will confirm details with you once the program begins delivery. Yeager will need at least 30 families signed up in order to participate. Thank you!

We can announce your child's birthday on our electronic marquee at Yeager Elementary!

The birthday sign will be posted for 3 days (the day before the birthday, the birthday and the day after) for $15!

Birthday signs with your child's FIRST name will be posted UPON PAYMENT and there will be NO REFUNDS. Summer birthdays will still be posted in the summer.

Purchases must be done via SchoolCash. Please allow 5 school days in order to be received and posted on marquee.

Yeager has a sticker machine in the cafeteria…. $.75 per sticker sheet. Send your kids with those quarters!!!!

The district is launching a new platform named Parent Square to facilitate communication between parents and teachers. This platform will replace Remind 101, and it launches August 7th. In January 2027, Parent Square will also replace School Messenger. It is important that you sign up for School Messenger now so that the transition is seamless.

If you have moved or your lease expired, please provide new proof of residency to the registrar's office. You may email a copy of the current lease, HCAD, mortgage statement or closing documents along with a current light, gas or water bill to yeager@cfisd.net. Please make sure to include your child's name and grade level.

Club Rewind is the before/after-school care program designed by CFISD and located at each elementary campus for eligible Pre-K through 5th grade students.

The program is fee-based and offers morning care, afternoon care and a combination of both. Click here for more information.
