Bear Nation-
Thank you for making our BDJH Library Fall Book Fair a success! The book fair is a library fundraiser, so not only do our bears have the opportunity to purchase books and goodies to add to their personal collections, but the book fair also helps me raise money to buy new books and supplies for the BDJH Library to benefit all of our bears. Thank you for your continued support in making our library extraordinary!
Sincerely,
Ms. Crabtree

AMC 8 & AMC 10A Registration Information
Beckendorff Junior High is excited to offer students the opportunity to participate in the AMC 8 and AMC 10A, nationally recognized mathematics competitions that challenge students to apply problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in a fun and competitive setting. Registration is open to Katy ISD students only.
Please note that if a student qualifies for the AIME (American Invitational Mathematics Examination), only Beckendorff Junior High students will be permitted to test at Beckendorff. Parents of students from other Katy ISD campuses will need to make arrangements for their child to test at an alternative approved testing location.
AMC 10A will be held Thursday, November 5, 2026, after school in the BDJH cafeteria beginning at 4:10 PM. Students will have 75 minutes to complete the exam and should be picked up when they finish.
AMC 8 will be held Thursday, January 21, 2027, after school in the BDJH cafeteria beginning at 4:10 PM. Students will have 40 minutes to complete the exam and should be picked up when they finish.
The cost is $8 per test ($16 total for students participating in both competitions). Registration is not complete until payment has been submitted through Pay N Go (RevTrak).
Interested students may register using the Pay and Go link coming soon. Registration closes September 28th at midnight.
Pay and Go Link:
Approximately 70 tests have been ordered for each competition, so students are encouraged to register early.
Students who have paid by September 28, 2026 will receive the AMC 10A student registration link the last week of October. The AMC 8 student registration link will be sent in early January 2027.

Volunteers
Volunteer Registration
Katy ISD is grateful for the thousands of volunteers who make a difference in our schools each
year. To help maintain a safe and secure environment for our students and staff, all volunteers
serving on or off campus during or outside the instructional day are required to register annually
through the district's Raptor volunteer management system.
A valid government-issued photo ID and email address are required to complete registration.
Your information will remain confidential and will not be shared outside of the volunteer
program, except for applicants who register as a Community Volunteer (not a parent,
grandparent, or guardian of a current Katy ISD student) or as a KEYS Mentor. For these
volunteer roles, the information required to complete a background check will be shared only
with our authorized background screening provider, JDP.
Once registered and approved, volunteers can:
• Sign up as a campus volunteer by completing the volunteer recruitment form provided by
their campus organization(s) or by contacting the campus volunteer coordinator.
• Track volunteer hours through their volunteer profile for every Katy ISD campus where they
serve.
• Quickly and easily submit individual off-campus volunteer hours
