Parents on Positivity Patrol (PoPP) is a volunteer program that brings more caring adults into our schools to support students and staff. Parent volunteers play a vital role in education—not only as valuable resources for teachers but also as role models who show students that school is important and worth their time and effort.

Through PoPP, parents have the opportunity to actively engage in the schools their children attend, fostering a strong sense of community. By spreading encouragement and building positive relationships, PoPP volunteers help create a welcoming and supportive environment for all.

Join PoPP today and be a catalyst for change. Together, we’ll shape a brighter future—one uplifting interaction at a time.

3rd and 4th grade OST testing is quickly approaching! Here are some helpful tips to help support your student!

On Friday March 28th we will be hosting a SEL day for all students. A SEL day is where for the entire school day students engage in engaging lessons and activities all related to social-emotional learning for the entire school day. For our first SEL day at SCE we will be focusing on the topic of Safety. Students will be engaging in developmentally appropriate lessons and activities on personal safety, emotional safety, community helpers that help to keep us safe, how to handle peer pressure, and more!

During this day every student will be receiving a 30 minute safe touch lesson per OH SB 288. Please review the letter attached. If you do not want your child to participate in the 30 minute lesson, please reach out to your school counselor at courtney_rizek@plsd.us by Friday March 21st.
