Guitar Donations Needed . . .
Do you have a lonely guitar buried in your closet or under the bed collecting dust?
It would be much happier being played every day by one of our smart and hard-working middle school students!
Mears Middle School is hoping to offer a Beginning Guitar class next semester.
We are seeking instrument donations.
We are primarily seeking nylon stringed classical guitars.
Please text or call me if you have a guitar to donate.
Thanks!

October Character Trait: Kindness
Mears staff will be looking to recognize students who demonstrate a commitment to kindness.
Kindness: being generous with others, giving your time and talent to support those who are in need. Kindness is being compassionate, which means to really be there for someone, listening intently to their suffering or just sitting with them and silently supporting them.

Counselor Corner
Students will be taking a Minute Meeting survey next week during Den Time. The survey will collect student feedback that will help Mears create annual goals for the 2023-2024 school year. Students will also identify who they feel are “trusted adults” in their lives in and out of school. Research confirms that having at least one trusted adult has a myriad of benefits. Our teacher training comes primarily from the Sandy Hook Promise and the book One Trusted Adult by Brooklyn Raney. Video of our lesson will be included in next week’s Panther Pride communication.
