PPC AUGUST MINUTES

Agenda: A PPC meeting was called to review the following Proposal to be presented to the School Board at the September board meeting.

2022-23 Recruitment and Retention Incentive, and Commissioned School Security Officer salary schedule

• 2022-23 Recruitment & Retention Incentive

• District administration proposes paying each full time employee a $1,200 incentive in November 2022 and a $1,200 incentive in May 2023.

• This $2,400 plus the $2,600 already paid in bonuses will total $5,000 and meet the recommendation of the ALC (Arkansas Legislative Council).

• Bus Driver Incentive & Revised bus driver salary schedule

• Bus Driver Shortage

• In 21-22 routes were canceled daily

• In 2022-23 the district has 77 Route Drivers

• In 2022-23 The District has had to establish designated bus stops due to the shortage of drivers and route cancellations.

• Drivers that do not have a regular route can earn up to $1500 in incentives.

• Drivers are still needed

• Classified staff can now drive a bus even if they exceed their 40 hr per week. If you are interested in driving it may be possible to shift your start/end time to drive either a morning or afternoon route. (Pending approval from your supervisor)

• Possible scenarios:

Maintenance person moves their start time up, works their normal hours and then drives an after school route.

Or

Custodian drives a morning bus route, shifts their start time to begin later and stays at their shift later.

• 60 hours of training is provided, reimbursement for cost of CDL packet once you pass your CDL

• CSSO Commissioned School Security Officer Salary Schedule

• The District will be hiring CSSOs to be stationed in our schools (mostly elementary) to help improve safety measures in our schools.

• Administration Proposes the following salary schedule for CSSOs

• Kelly Hayes sent out a screencastify outlining the proposal along with Powerpoints in English & Español.

• All staff must vote on the proposed bonuses

• Voting will be done with an anonymous google form sent to your school email.
