Hyatt's October Updates
Office Greetings
Dear Hyatt Elementary Families,
As we embark on another exciting school year, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering commitment to your child's education and your continued support of our school district.
Your involvement is crucial in creating a vibrant learning environment where our students can thrive academically and socially. We believe that education is a partnership between families and schools, and your engagement makes a significant difference in our community.
We are excited to offer numerous opportunities for volunteering and getting involved this year. Whether it’s through classroom activities, special events, or after-school programs, your participation not only enriches your child’s experience but also fosters friendships and collaboration among families.
Together, we can help our children grow into confident, capable individuals. We look forward to working alongside you and strengthening our partnership as we support our students in their educational journey. Thank you once again for your dedication and support. Here’s to a successful year ahead!

S.R.O. Officer Williams' Halloween Tips
- Always walk on sidewalks or paths. If there are no sidewalks, walk facing traffic as close to the curb as possible.
- Look left, right and left again when crossing the street.
- Have your child carry a glow stick or flashlight to help them see and be seen.
- Put electronic devices down. Keep your head up and walk; don’t run across the street.
- Decorate costumes and bags with reflective tape
- Only go to houses with porch lights on and NEVER GO INSIDE.
- Parents should inspect all treats before the children eat them.

School Bond Updates
Contractors have been busy with demolition in preparation for the renovation of the north side of Hyatt to accommodate the children and staff from the Argentine Early Childhood Center beginning in the fall of 2025. The renovations that are slated to occur to the rest of Hyatt Elementary are anticipated to begin as soon as school lets out in early June. Each layer of the bond is designed to improve the overall school experience, safety, and quality of opportunity afforded to the children in our district. If you are looking for additional updates to the district bond projects, you can find them on the district website or for those specific to Hyatt, you may simply click on this link https://core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/2357/lcs/2319593/What_is_in_Bond_for_Hyatt_Elementary.pdf

Health Safety
Also, as classroom parties are on the horizon, please remain cognizant of student allergies in your child’s classroom. Due to the severity of the reactions to some allergies we ask that all snacks, treats, are store purchased. If your child exhibits any symptom, you will be called to pick your child up from school.

Halloween Updates
- Children may wear their costumes to school.
- Face paint dries out the skin and will likely become an irritant as the day progresses, so it is recommended that you save this portion of the costume for trick-or-treating at home.
- Leave any "weapon like" accessories at home.
- Teachers will communicate information about their individual parties. Please only send in store bought treats due to possible food related allergies
- The Costume Parade will begin at 2:45 PM. Families are welcome to come and take pictures of their child. If you decide to take your child home afterwards, please make sure you stop by the office first to sign them out. The weather will determine our parade route, which will be shared closer to the 31st.
