NOVEMBER 2026
PRINCIPAL MESSAGE
Hello Families, and Welcome to November!
As we step into November, a month often centered around reflection and gratitude, I want to take a moment to recognize and appreciate the incredible partnership we share with you. This time of year reminds us how important it is to pause and acknowledge the many ways our school community comes together to support student success.
Thank you for your continued involvement—ensuring your children arrive on time, staying engaged through the Parent Portal, and communicating with our teachers and staff. Your support of our school policies, your cooperation with daily routines like drop-off and pick-up, and your enthusiastic presence at athletic events all make a meaningful difference.
Together, we a strong foundation for learning, growth, and school pride. The staff at RHS is grateful for your commitment and look forward to all the good things this season brings.
End of 1st Quarter
The first quarter of our 1st Semester ends Friday, November 13. REMINDER: Report cards are only available through the Parent Portal. If you are not yet signed up, click here: Parent Portal - Parents - Roseville Community School
Since we are on a semester calendar, once the first quarter ends 40% of your student’s overall semester grade determines credit, and cumulative GPA is set and cannot change. A reminder that credit is only issued at the end of each semester and only for successfully passing a class. Student grade level status is determined by the credits they earn, not by their years at RHS.
- 9th Grade -First year of High School.
- 10th Grade -Second year of High School + minimum 5 credits earned or equivalent.
- 11th Grade -Third year of High School + 11 credits earned or equivalent.
- 12 Grade -Fourth year of High School + 16 credits earned or equivalent.
All Credit Recovery classes will cost $200 per class. Credit Recovery starts in November, with Seniors having priority for available seats. Talk with your student and utilize the Parent Portal to ensure they are passing their classes the first time through, which is during their everyday school experience, when earning the credit is free.
Attendance Reminders
It is important that all parents are familiar with our Attendance Rules. Excessive absences or tardiness may require a student to get a 77% or higher on their final exams to both earn credit in a course and avoid receiving an “F” as a final grade. Parents are expected to review these documents:
Roseville High School Full Attendance Rules
Snapshot of Attendance Guidelines
Here are the top items you can do to support your student’s attendance:
- Communicate absences with the school whenever they occur.
- Turn in documentation for absences within 5 days.
- Monitor attendance through the Parent Portal. Parent Portal Registration info can be found here: Parent Portal - Parents - Roseville Community Schools
- Review the email we send to all parents every Monday with a summary of your student’s attendance so far this year with your student.
Reach out to your student’s teachers if you have question about their attendance. This can be done through the Parent Portal or by contacting the school.
Senior Parent Information
Did you Know? Seniors are eligible for two free years of community college after graduation. The first step in that process is to complete a FAFSA application. FAFSA is now open, and our Counseling Office is offering help FAFSA help sessions. Be sure to check your email for FAFSA information that we send.

Starting Now: Encourage your senior to reach out to past and current high school teachers for letters of recommendation for jobs, scholarships, school and other applications.

Starting Now: Help your senior begin to craft a personal statement. They will be working on these in ELA 12 as well, but need your input. Help them think about experiences or challenges that have shaped who they are today, why they stand out from other applicants, and what their future goals are.

By now your senior should also have begun receiving Senior Emails from Mrs. Goetzinger in our Counseling Office.
