Dear Jackson Avenue Elementary Families,

First Week Reminders:

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Stingray Startup and TK & K Sneak Peek! 💛🖤We had a wonderful turnout, and it was so exciting to see our Stingray families on campus! I truly enjoyed meeting so many of you and look forward to continuing to get to know our students and families as we begin this amazing school year together.
8/12-14- Minimum Day Release at 1:30
❤️🖤 Tomorrow: First Day Red Carpet Welcome! 🖤❤️
We can’t wait to welcome our Stingrays tomorrow! 🎉
8:00 a.m. – Breakfast
The gate by the MPR will open for students eating breakfast. Parents may accompany their child into the MPR if needed. After breakfast, families can head to the front of the school for our Red Carpet Welcome.
8:15 a.m. – Red Carpet Begins! 🎉
The front gates will open, and our staff will line the Red Carpet to cheer on our students as they begin their first day!
If your child is uncomfortable with crowds or loud cheering, you are welcome to use the MPR gate for a quieter entrance.
After the Red Carpet:
Grades 1–5: Students will line up on the blacktop at their classroom number.
TK & Kindergarten: Students will wait outside their classrooms.
8:25 a.m.: Teachers will greet their students and begin the school day.

Starting Thursday, we will follow our regular morning arrival routine
8:00 a.m. – MPR opens for breakfast.
8:25 a.m. – Gates open. Students may enter through the front gate, back gate by the library, garden gate, or TK/K gate.
Supervision will be provided at each gate, and Ms. Ellerson will be out front each morning to greet our Stingrays!
Students will go directly to their classrooms after entering campus.
8:30 a.m. – School begins.
8:35 a.m. – Gates will be locked. Students arriving after 8:35 will be marked tardy and must enter through the office.

Teachers have shared information with families regarding the designated pick-up location for each grade level.If you are unsure where to pick up your child, please feel free to call the school office tomorrow. We are happy to help make dismissal as smooth and easy as possible!
