Bulldog BarkMorenci MS/HS Communication for the week of May29, 2023

Notes from the Principal

Good Afternoon!

I hope you all enjoyed the three day weekend and had a chance to spend time with family and friends. The weather was certainly nothing to complain about.

ECHO courses started on Thursday and go through the end of the year. Students do receive a grade of Satisfactory or Unsatisfactory based on daily participation and high school students earn credit so please make sure your child attends daily. This is a great opportunity for students to experience different interest areas.

I also want to remind you that next week both Monday and Tuesday are half days with students being dismissed at 12:00 pm. Please ask your student to check out the lost and found prior to the end of the year. Anything left after school is dismissed on Tuesday, June 7, 2023 will be donated or disposed.

Make it a great week!

Thirteen Track and Field Athletes Qualify for State Performance.

Congratulations to our Track and Field athletes on the memorable regional championships! It's fantastic to hear that our athletes had such a successful event. With 13 state qualifiers and 13 state qualifying performances, along with numerous personal records (PRs) and earned medals, your team has a lot to be proud of.

The results are impressive as well. Out of 15 schools, the girls' team secured a 2nd place finish with 74 points, while the boys' team secured a 4th place finish with 56 points. These achievements highlight the hard work and dedication of the athletes and their coaches.

Well done to all the participants, and best of luck to the state qualifiers in the upcoming state championships! Go Dawgs!
