Overnight Limited Access Excemption

Dear District 25 3rd - 8th Grade Families,

Beginning this school year, District 25 implemented an overnight internet access restriction for student devices from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. As with any new process, we understand that individual circumstances may arise, and we have heard from some families who have requested an exception.

In response, and in collaboration with our Department of Innovation & Technology, we have developed a process for families who would like to request an exception. Families may now request to adjust their child's overnight internet restriction so that internet access remains available until 12:00 a.m. (midnight). If approved, the restriction would then be in place from 12:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. through the end of the current school year.

As always, we remain open to listening and learning from our community. We also want to give our students, families, and staff time to experience this new restriction before asking for broader feedback. Please be on the lookout for a future survey in an upcoming District 25 Dish, where we will invite our community to share their thoughts and experiences.
