PK-8 Tiger Tracker
Week of March 3rd
Hello Tiger Families!
What an incredible week we've had! Our students were captivated by storyteller Al Bostick, enjoyed the beautiful warmer weather, and celebrated our outstanding educators—Audra Branson, our Elementary Teacher of the Year, Gaye Backer, our Middle School Teacher of the Year, and Cara Cox, our Support Personnel of the Year! These amazing teachers bring so much joy and dedication to our students each day, and we are beyond grateful for them. Congrats to Kara Winans (HS/District) and Mr. McCombs (Support Personnel) who were recognized as well! We look forward to celebrating them, along with all of our hardworking educators, at the Teacher of the Year Banquet on March 27. This special evening will include dinner, an auction, and a wonderful time together. The banquet supports the Crescent Education Foundation, which has generously provided over $15,000 in grants to our teachers this year for classroom supplies and learning experiences. We hope you can join us!
This week, we’re excited to celebrate Dr. Seuss Week! Schools across the nation will be highlighting the joy of reading with fun dress-up days and, most importantly, lots of time to READ! Reading is the foundation of learning, and we can’t wait to see our students dive into great books.
Let’s make it a wonderful week!
Proud to be a Tiger,

We celebrated our Tiger Way Characteristic of Responsibility!
Behavioral Remediation Time
We have instituted a new strategy for helping students learn responsibility! We are committed to providing a positive, respectful, and focused learning environment for all of our students. We believe that every student has the potential to thrive when they are engaged and respectful of their peers, teachers, and the school community.
In order to maintain this environment, we have implemented a Behavioral Remediation time for students who engage in behaviors that disrupt the learning process or show disrespect toward others. This time, usually during recess, will serve as an opportunity for students to reflect on their actions, take responsibility, and contribute to the school community in a positive way.
During Behavioral Remediation, students may be asked to complete reflection sheets, assist with cleaning and organizing, or engage in other community service-oriented tasks. These activities are designed to encourage personal growth and help students better understand the impact of their behavior on the school environment.
We appreciate your support in reinforcing the importance of respect, responsibility, and collaboration at school and at home. Together, we can help all of our students grow into responsible and caring individuals who contribute positively to the world around them.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, please don’t hesitate to reach out!
READING
Please encourage your students to READ (together or independently) for at least 20 minutes a day! THIS IS THE SINGLE MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOUR STUDENT ACHIEVE!
