Soaring High with the Eagles...
Morning Announcements - 5th Grade Students
Hi Eagle Families,
Happy Labor Day Weekend! We had a fantastic week of learning this week! Our students are settling into their daily routines and doing a wonderful job of following our school wide expectations. This past week, students completed their Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) assessments. These baseline scores are incredibly valuable, as they help guide our daily instruction and lesson planning to ensure we are meeting every student's individual learning needs. Click on the link below to learn more about the NWEA Assessment. NWEA Family Toolkit
Looking ahead to this week, we will focus on safety by practicing our school bus expectations and learning how to safely evacuate in case of an emergency.
We have some exciting community events coming up that we hope you will join us for. This Friday night is the PTO sponsored Back to School Bash on the Flossmoor Hills intermediate side lawn at 5:00 p.m. It promises to be a fun filled family event for everyone and we cannot wait to celebrate the start of the year together.
Finally, please feel free to join us on Saturday morning for the Hidden Gem marathon. We will be gathering in the Flossmoor Hills area to hand out water and cheer on the runners as they pass through. All families are welcome to come out, bring signs and noisemakers, and show everyone our amazing Flossmoor Hills spirit!

Traffic and School Bus Safety
- Please do not pull or park vehicles in the bus lane. These lanes are for school buses only.

All visitors staying in the school building must be scanned in by our administrative assistants using the raptor. You will have to present your driver's license as proof of i.d. Once you have been cleared through the system, you will receive a name badge to wear. No visitors or volunteers will be allowed in the school without being cleared by the system.
Birthday Celebrations During the School Day
If you would like to celebrate your child's birthday in school, please send non edible items to share (i.e., pencils, bubbles, stickers, etc.). We cannot allow students to share outside food/treats in school. Food items will be returned to you.
Good Things in the Neighborhood
If you would like to share good news happening in the FH neighborhood or share an achievement for your child outside of school, please email me a photo and blurb detailing the event. I will be sure to include it in the weekly newsletter.
