The Stampede Lego League Team won the "Robot Design" award at their competition last month!

A meeting for all 6th-8th graders wanting to compete in Track this Spring will be held on March 7th in the gym during Advisory time. If students are absent/unable to attend, please see Mr. Stanforth.

Robotics Club will run from 3:00-4:00pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays until March 7th. This is open to all grades. Please have your ride arranged for pick-up by 4:00. Meetings will start in Ross’s classroom (A128), then move to the STEM Lab.

The Drama Club will be hosting their last show on March 3rd at 7pm at the Sturgis Community Center!

The following are the project guidelines:

· The media can include pencil or ink sketch, paint, or digital media such as graphic art or photographs.

· It must include the phrase “I love my county because…”.

· The size of the piece can be between 8 ½ x 11 and 11 x 17.

· Please put the student’s name, grade, school and teacher on the back of each piece of work

The deadline to submit the artwork is Friday, March 31, 2023. The artwork can either be mailed in or county employees will be available to pick up the artwork from the participating schools. All work will be displayed at the Meade County Erskine Building and the Meade County Courthouse. The art will be returned to the students.

Judging will be completed by April 25th and prizes will be awarded to the students at a date and time agreed upon by the schools and Meade County. We would like to take photos of the prize winners with their artwork. Photos of the winning works will be compiled and presented at the Meade County Commission Meeting on May 9th.
