Worthington Academy Family Update

Dear Worthington Academy Students and Parents,

It is a great honor to write my first note to all of you as the principal of Worthington Academy. I am beyond excited to begin this school year together.

I had the opportunity to spend some time with our staff and students toward the end of last school year, and I can't tell you how much those visits meant to me. I left each time feeling energized, hopeful, and even more eager to get started. One of the strange parts of transitioning to a new school is that you get hired, you get excited, and then...you wait!

Well, the waiting is almost over!

Teachers have been working on schedules, preparing lessons, setting up classrooms, and meeting with many of you already. There is a lot happening behind the scenes, and everyone is excited to see you!

As we begin, I keep coming back to one of my favorite quotes from Dolly Parton:

“Find out who you are and do it on purpose.”

I believe school is about more than completing classes. It is about discovering your strengths, building confidence, finding your voice, and figuring out where you want to go next. Every student arrives at Academy with a different story and a different path, and we are here to help you move forward.

Before You Arrive

Please check your schedule through your home school to make sure you know where and when you need to be on your first day.

Bus and shuttle information can be found below. Please take a moment to review it before school begins.

If you notice anything incorrect with your schedule, transportation, or other important information, please reach out to me or your counselor so we can help get it sorted out.

We know the first day can bring excitement, nerves, or a little bit of both. You don't have to have everything figured out right away. Ask questions, give yourself some time, and know that we're here to help.

We are so glad you're part of Academy. We can't wait to see you!

To provide families with better security and more control over student information, Worthington Schools is updating how parents and guardians log into the Infinite Campus Parent Portal. Starting for the 2026-2027 school year, the district will no longer create accounts or manage credentials for parents and guardians. Instead, parents will now have the power to create their own account and manage their own password securely.

What is changing?

• Self-Service Accounts: You will now create your own username and password.
• Easy Password Resets: If you forget your password in the future, you can reset it yourself instantly via email
• Enhanced Security: Managing your own credentials keeps your family’s data safer.

What do parents & guardians need to do?

• Starting July 13, your current Infinite Campus account will no longer work.
• On July 20, you will receive a separate email containing a unique Activation Key and a link. Simply click the link, enter your key, and follow the prompts to create your new username and password. Once logged in, it will look the same as before. (Please note, this link will be available for a limited amount of time, so this will need to be taken care of as soon as you have a chance. The link expires on September 1).
• You can complete this setup on a computer or mobile device in a couple minutes
• If you use the Infinite Campus Mobile App, you will need to sign in again with your new account.

Please visit https://www.worthington.k12.oh.us/back-to-school for back to school information for Worthington Schools.

Each year, families should complete their Emergency Data Review at https://worthingtonoh.infinitecampus.org/campus/portal/parents/worthington.jsp. Directions are available on the back to school page noted above. Parents/guardians must first create their new Infinite Campus log-in credentials before updating this information for the 2026-2027 school year. The Emergency Data Review for 2026-2027 opened on July 31.

If your student is interested in school athletics, please make sure to complete Final Forms. A current physical is required each year for athletics.
