Communications & Community Relations Evaluation
Brynne Cramer, chief communications officer, presented a program evaluation, which highlighted the team's four National School Public Relations Association awards among other accomplishments. View the presentation.
Focus School Software
Greg Lawrence, director of instructional technology, asked the Board to approve the purchase, configuration, and management of student information system (SIS) services from Focus School Software. This recommendation comes following the announcement from Tyler SIS (our current Student Information System) that they are discontinuing the program.View the full presentation. REACH & Early Childhood Construction Plans
The Board heard a presentation and discussed construction plans for a potential new REACH and Early Childhood Center. The Board will vote on this item on Aug. 29, 2023, in a special Board meeting.
Board Member School Visit - Discussion
The Board had a discussion about WSD Board member school visits. Proposed revisions to Policy 0311 - Statement of Practices, underneath Visits to Schools, were discussed in a first reading.
Bid: Frontier Middle School Traffic Light
The Board approved the Frontier Middle School Traffic Light Bid, as presented.
Ethan Baxter (Timberland), Kelly Meegan (Timberland), and Sean Cromwell (North Point) were recognized as members of the class of 2023. Jason Moore, principal of Pearce Hall, said a few positive words about the new graduates!
