Registering for High School
Students will need to register for their high school based on their residential address. You can see which school your student is assigned to by entering your address in the buses and boundaries website.
Counselors will visit with all 8th Graders through their AVID/ MAPS/ or Innovative Thinkers classes to discuss High School Endorsements and Programs of Study. As we prepare our 8th Graders for High School registration in February, we want to ensure that they are well versed in understanding their choices for High School and that begins with choosing an endorsement.
With the help of teachers, counselors, and parents/guardians, students will decide on one or more endorsement plans. These endorsements will help create a personalized learning plan in line with a student’s career interests and goals. Families will be given a school-by-school breakdown of student options well in advance, to assist them in selecting a high school endorsement and career pathway that meets the student’s career interests and post-secondary goals.
