As we approach March Break, I encourage you to come to the school to check out the Lost and Found tables. We have two tables full of clothing as well as a bin filled with lonely mitts. We will bag up the clothes on March 8 to donate it to charities. This is the last chance for this pile of clothes.
Wednesday, there is an online meeting for parents of children with special needs who will start kindergarten in September. Please look at the poster below for more information.
There is an EQAO Webinar for Parents and Guardians of Elementary School Students who are interested in knowing more about the provincial assessment. Register for this free live webinar and learn about EQAO's primary and junior Assessments of Reading, Writing and Mathematics. Participants will learn about the purpose of Ontario's large-scale assessments. EQAO staff will explain the assessment format, highlight resources to support students and answer questions from participants. Registration.
KFLA is warning us of the Meningococcal disease and the importance of vaccination. Please see the posters below for more information.
Educational services is doing a restructuration of their programs for next year. Parents of children in those programs should have received a letter last week about this. If you did not receive a letter and your child is in a special education program for part of the day, communicate with me.
Yearbook update - Following the security breach of the third party company that facilitates the creation of the yearbook, the board is asking that all work on the yearbook be put on hold. There is no alternative program suggested at this point. Please know that grade 6 students will receive a composite picture of their grad photos.
Grad pictures will be March 19 and the retake will be April 23.
Parent Council is canceling the meeting that was scheduled for this week. The next meeting will be on April 3.
