Jaguar Tracks
October 30th
Dear Jaguar Families,
Thank you for such a wonderful week and, as always, for your continued participation and involvement in our school community! We absolutely love having you here at JE. Your energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to be part of all the special things happening in our building make our school such a wonderful place to be.
A special thank you to our PTO for hosting such a wonderful Halloween Howl last week! We had fantastic participation, and it was so much fun to see some new additions this year. Thank you to everyone who helped organize, volunteer, and join in the fun to make it such a great community event!
We also had a fantastic Halloween at school! The costumes were adorable, the classroom parties were so much fun, and it was so special to see our Jaguars enjoying the day together. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a great week!
A quick reminder about morning arrival: When walking along the Oak Street side of the building in the morning, please be sure to stay on the sidewalk and keep the driveway clear. Staff work hours begin at 8:10, and many of our staff members are arriving and driving into the building at that time. Keeping the driveway clear allows everyone to get into the building safely and on time. Thank you for helping us with this!
Looking ahead, we have another exciting week coming up! We are looking forward to our Veterans Day Assembly, where we will have the opportunity to recognize and thank those who have served our country. We are also excited for the Jaguar Jog for our Grades 3–5 students!
Thank you for being such an important part of our JE community. We love seeing our families in the building, cheering on our Jaguars, and making memories together. It truly takes all of us, and we are so grateful for you!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Warmly,
Caitlin

Celebrating October Attendance
We are so excited to share that our 5th Grade led the way for October with an incredible 98.61% attendance rate!
Thank you for making getting to school each day a priority. Consistent attendance makes such a difference for students as they build relationships, learn routines, and keep up with the learning happening in their classrooms. We are so grateful to have our Jaguars with us each day!
Rooted in the Village: A Parent & Caregiver Evening Gathering
Raising and supporting children with different strengths, needs, and ways of experiencing the world can bring both rewarding moments and unique challenges. You don’t have to navigate it alone! This supportive space is an opportunity to connect with other families, share experiences, and learn practical tips and strategies for supporting neurodivergent children and children with unique learning, behavioral, or emotional needs. Come with questions, experiences to share, or simply a desire to listen and connect. See the flier for more information. Register here!

Reading Public Schools is a METCO District
METCO unites suburban towns with Boston to engage in a reciprocal learning partnership in support of all students. Because of this, every child who attends school in Reading Public Schools is a METCO student and every parent or guardian who has a student in RPS is a part of the METCO community.
"Since its founding during the peak of the Civil Rights Movement, the METCO program has enrolled tens of thousands of Boston students of color in predominately white school districts, creating the opportunity for those districts to experience the advantages of learning and working in a racially and ethnically diverse setting."
