Note From Principal Pautler
Hello Bulldog Families,
We have a very busy and exciting weekend ahead at Edmond Memorial, with Bulldogs competing and performing all across the state!
To kick things off, our competitive cheer team is heading to the OSSAA State Competition on Saturday. We’ll hold a sendoff at 1:00 p.m. (Saturday) at the Doghouse cheer steps, and the team will take the floor in the 6A division at 6:15 p.m. at the UMAC in Tulsa. If you plan to attend, please CLICK HERE to purchase tickets, as the OSSAA sells its own tickets for state-level events.
Tonight, Bulldog football opens district play against Norman North with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. We’re looking forward to a big night and a great crowd—come out and support your Bulldogs!
On Saturday, our Bulldog Band will compete at the Owasso Band Contest, taking the field at 1:15 p.m. against some of the top programs from across the state. Best of luck as they continue their outstanding season!
We also want to wish the best of luck to all of our choir students auditioning for COCDA this weekend. Our building will be filled with talented vocalists from across the area, and we know our students will shine.
Looking ahead, we’re just a couple of weeks away from the opening of our fall play, Peter and the Starcatcher. This is a show you won’t want to miss! Be sure to click the ticket link below to reserve your seats for what is sure to be an amazing performance.
It’s a packed weekend for Bulldog Nation, and we can’t wait to see you supporting our students at one of these many exciting events!

🎃 Halloween Costumes at Memorial 🎃
Yes, Bulldogs, the tradition lives on—Halloween costumes are absolutely allowed on Friday, October 31st! This is one of our favorite days of the year, and the hallways always feel like they’ve been taken over by a movie set. To make sure the fun keeps going for years to come, let’s stick to a few simple ground rules:
1️⃣ Keep it classy, not sassy. Costumes can’t be offensive to any group of people. We’re here for candy and laughs, not controversy.
2️⃣ Follow the dress code. If your costume requires the word “naughty” in front of it… save it for your dog or cat at home. (They’ll be impressed. We won’t.)
3️⃣ No masks in class. Algebra is already scary enough without trying to solve equations while staring at a zombie or a Chewbacca mask.
4️⃣ Mobility matters. If you can’t make it from one end of the building to the other without knocking over three friends and a water bottle, your costume might need a redesign. (Sorry, inflatable T-Rex… but we still love you.)
As always - keep anything that looks like a real weapon - at home.
Let’s keep the day fun, safe, and full of creativity. We can’t wait to see what you come up with—Memorial never disappoints!

Senior Jostens Information
Hello senior parents/guardians!
This morning, seniors met with Jostens reps to go over information on ordering their caps/gowns. Please note the following important highlights from that meeting. I am also attaching the flyer that was given out today from Jostens.
- You can order your cap/gown by going to jostens.com. They have a variety of packages available. The only thing the school requires you to purchase is the basic cap/gown/tassel package.
- Caps/gowns/tassels will be delivered during Senior Morning in April.
- The early-bird pricing deadline is October 8. After that, prices will continue to increase each month. Order yours ASAP to avoid any price increases! Edmond Memorial asks that you have your cap/gown ordered by November 21.
- Students filled out a postcard with contact information so Jostens can send you reminders directly. I am attaching a QR code you can scan to sign up for those reminders as well, if you have not yet done so.
- If you need financial assistance for your cap/gown, your senior needs to visit with their counselor. They have applications available for a scholarship program through the school. The deadline to apply for financial assistance is October 24.
- If you have questions about ordering your child's cap and gown, please contact Jostens directly at 405-607-4343.
Also, these links were sent out yesterday, but it doesn't hurt to have them in one more place:
- To reserve a legacy cowl, please fill out this Google Form (legacies are for students who had a parent/grandparent/great-grandparent/etc. graduate from Memorial. Siblings/aunts/uncles/cousins are excluded - this is generational only)
- To reserve a military cord, please fill out this Google Form (these are provided for free from Tinker AFB for any students who has an immediate family member who has served or is currently serving in the US military (parents, siblings, grandparents, etc.)
- The deadline to reserve these is December 5.
Please be sure you have joined our Band group to stay up-to-date on all important information (https://band.us/@26seniors).
For general graduation questions, please email me at emily.busey@edmondschools.net. For questions specifically about ordering caps/gowns, please contact Jostens (405-607-4343).
