Our Percussion/Jazz Concert is May 19th at 7 pm in the DHS Auditorium. All percussionist and our jazz band will be performing at this concert. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased here. We will be taking cash at the door. Doors open at 6:15 pm. You will not want to miss Mr. Ponseti's final percussion concert!

The Varsity Winter Guard will be recognized at the May School Board meeting on Thursday, May 18th at 6 pm. Students need to arrive by 5:45 pm dressed nice. Be sure to complete the RSVP form by Wednesday, May 17.

The performance schedule can be found here. We will be taking a charter bus to get to Austin on Monday, May 29th. We will not be providing transportation to Austin for events on Saturday, May 27th. More detail to follow. Please check the sign up in the band hall to sign up for a coaching time with Mr. Keyes if interested. The sign up will be posted Monday after school.

Students that still owe fees will be emailed an invoice for their fees next week. These students' names have been submitted to the front office and have an obligation on their record. Senior students with a financial obligation will not be able to get their tickets or parking pass for graduation.

• October 7 - Comal Classic Marching Festival and Rocket Review Marching Festival, Canyon HS, Judson HS
• October 14 - UIL Region Marching Competition, Heroes Stadium, San Antonio
• October 21 - UIL Area Marching Competition, Calallen HS
• November 1 - UIL State Marching Contest, Alamodone
• November 4 - Brandeis Drumline Competition (drumline, drum majors, and soloist only)

Band Registration is Saturday, June 3rd and is required for all students participating in band or color guard during the 2023-2024 school year. We will be collecting fees and ordering uniform parts.

The wind ensemble is performing at the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio Invitational at the Tobin Center on May 23rd at 3 pm. Seniors will join the band after the elephant walk that morning. This performance is open to the public and is free.

The Wind Ensemble will be performing at Graduation on Friday, May 26th at 8 pm at our stadium. We will be wearing tuxes and dresses. Call time on Friday, May 26th will be 5:30 pm.
