Seesaw

Seesaw is a student-driven digital portfolio that allows users of all ages to document and share what they are learning at school. It is a free iPad app that is available on all of our kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, and gen ed cart iPads. Intermediate teachers, have no fear... Seesaw is fully accessible on the Chromebook through seesaw.me.

Seesaw is a learning journal that allows teachers and students to create and/or upload work to post in a private class feed. Teachers have the ability to approve all posts before they're uploaded to the feed. Parents can be invited to see their child’s posts through a different app.

Seesaw posts can be:

  • photos

  • videos

  • drawings

  • typed text

  • website links

They can also be annotated with audio and drawings!

If you want to learn more about Seesaw, come join me in the LRC classroom this Wednesday, 10/26 during Teacher-Directed Collaboration. Click here if you're interested in collaborating with me!

D64 Certified Staff Framework Template

Many teachers are creating evidence binders for their evaluations. If you are interested in uploading artifacts to a website, instead of making a physical binder, you can find a precreated template in Google Sites. To access, go to Google Sites, and select the red Create button. Then, click on "Browse the gallery for more" and select "D64 Certified Staff Framework". This Google Site can be used as an online professional portfolio, where you can document the 4 Domains of the District 64 evaluation framework. This is completely optional but wanted to let you know that it's out there!
