A few words from Principal Rico
Hello Everyone.
As you can see below, there are so many highlights of the great students here at the Academy. Students are working hard in so many ways. This energy is what makes the Academy a thriving school, and we couldn't do it without you all. That being said, we are always looking for ways to improve. Student and community voice is important as we are all in this to have a positive school and community experience. Please don't hesitate to connect.
Have a great weekend and be safe during this changing season.
Polly Rico

Fall Concert
A Night of Exceptional Music at BFA St. Albans!
Last night’s Fall Music Concert at BFA was a resounding success, filling the auditorium with a packed house and an incredible amount of energy!
Our student musicians delivered unforgettable performances across all ensembles. The audience's enthusiasm was palpable throughout the evening—from cheering on the featured soloists in the Jazz Band and BFA Chorus to rocking along with Modern Band “A-319.” A standout moment of the night came during Band II’s performance of Chant and Savage Dance, where the crowd could hardly hold back their applause until the final note.
Special recognition goes to Band I for doing an amazing job putting together their very first program of the year, seamlessly uniting talented students coming from multiple sending schools. We were also thrilled to see so many middle school music teachers from Maple Run and neighboring districts in the audience, cheering on their former students as they take the stage at the high school level.
Thank you to Eric Bushey, Armand Messier, Chris Leduc, and all of our dedicated student performers for an inspiring evening that showcased the strength and heart of our music program!
