Heading into the Holiday Recess

The snow was falling, the shovels and snow blowers were pulled out, and Greenwich Public Schools had their first traditional snow day of Winter 2020. How did you spend your time around Greenwich?

Will we have snow for the holiday recess starting on Thursday, December 24th?

Festival of Trees at New Lebanon

Last Saturday, the New Lebanon PTA hosted a drive-through Festival of Trees in place of their traditional Winter Wonderland. It was complete with decorated holiday trees for each grade, a socially distant Santa Claus, and decorations galore for families and loved ones to enjoy the holiday spirit. They safely hosted over 100 cars and 300 people with music, fun, and a celebration of everything they have to be grateful for.

Winter Beach Clean Up

Last Sunday, the members of GHS School Roots & Shoots, Environmental Action Club, and AP Environmental Science class met at historic Tod's Point to clean up the beach. Masked up, bundled up, and armed with trash bags and work gloves, our globally recognized students continue to make a big difference in their communities

GHS students collected garbage at the bench.

North Street to the Rockies

Kindergarten students at the North Street School had a sense-sational time singing and talking with an actual National Park Ranger last week in a virtual field trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in the Centennial State, Colorado. Park Ranger Luis told the scientists in class that we can use all five of your senses while exploring nature! It was a great culminating activity for the science unit of study on matter.
NSS students enjoyed a visit from a park ranger.
