A Note From Mrs. Roberson

Have you heard about Genius Hour? Willbern 2nd-5th grade students enjoyed their very first Genius Hour on Friday, September 21st. Our Kinder and 1st graders will begin on October 5th. Genius Hour allows students to choose from a wide variety of topics and interests. Below you can see just six of the 30+ options that were available to students this semester. Some groups are working towards donating items to charity and others are learning new technology and robotics. There are a number of Genius Hours where our young artists and musicians can create and learn new techniques. On November 27th we will host our first Genius Hour Showcase to allow parents and community members to come see what our amazing students and staff learned and produced this semester. Special thanks go to our staff members who are facilitating each group. They are doing this on top of their already numerous job responsibilities. I will have to say that on the 21st the adults were as excited as the students!
