A Message about Safety
Dear Dryden Families,
If you are driving students to and from school and traveling through the intersection of Dryden and Rockwell, please be sure to pull forward past the sign that reads “NO PARKING HERE TO CORNER” so there is adequate space. This helps ensure that students can cross safely at the crosswalk with our crossing guard, Mr. Poteracki.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation in helping keep all of our students safe during arrival and dismissal. Your partnership and care for our community truly make a difference.
Warmly,
Jessica Martinsen
Lost and Found
Please help us reunite lost items with their owners by clearly labeling all of your child’s clothing, lunch boxes, and other personal belongings! Items found at school will be placed in the Lost and Found. Older students may ask their teacher for permission to check for missing belongings, while parents of younger students are welcome to stop by the office between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM to take a look. On the 30th of each month, any unclaimed items will be donated to a charitable organization. If an item has a name on it, our office staff will give you a call so it can make its way home before donation day. Thank you for helping us by labeling everything—big or small—so nothing stays “lost” for long!
Head Lice
Winter is the time of year when we notice cases of lice in our school community. While lice are a common occurrence and not a health hazard, it’s important to remain vigilant.
Please take a moment to read this INFORMATIONAL LETTER on HEAD LICE which includes helpful information about identifying and preventing the spread of lice.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Important Information on Common Illnesses in School-Age Children
School-age children are susceptible to various common illnesses.
We encourage you to take a moment to review this Information Letter on Common Illnesses for valuable guidance.
To help prevent these illnesses, please remind your child to practice healthy habits, including:
Washing hands frequently.
Staying well-hydrated.
Avoiding the sharing of personal items, food, or drinks.
Refraining from touching their eyes.
Covering their mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing.
Thank you for your attention to this important matter as we work together to keep our students healthy and safe.
