AC Flora Esports brought one Super Mario Brothers Smash Ultimate Team and one Rocket League team to the first ever Soda City tournament hosted by Midlands Tech and Lexington One on Saturday, March 14. The Smash Team, consisting of Chris Haygood, Aiyon Haygood, and Mekhi Johnson, made it through 4 rounds of the tournament against 30 other teams. The Rocket League team, consisting of Trey Jackson and Kaston Colon, took 2nd place.

And Congratulations to Trey Jackson! He has become the first Richland One student to receive a scholarship to compete in esports. Jackson will play Rocket League at Lander University.

Please click here for rules and guidelines when decorating your 2026 graduation cap. This should be a positive experience for you and your family. We want to celebrate your achievements at Flora as well as what you will be doing after high school. We encourage you to be creative, unique, respectful, and positive as you decorate your cap. Failure to follow these rules will result in a replacement cap being given to you during commencement at your own cost ($25)! Cap decorating is an optional experience.

The Class of 2026 Senior Night will be held on Thursday, May 21, at 6:30 pm in the AC Flora Competition Gym. ALL seniors and their parents are invited to this annual event that honors the senior class and their accomplishments.

If you have any questions about Senior Night, please contact our Senior Class advisors, Ms. Dallas and/or Ms. Davis, at kathryn.dallas@richlandone.org and/or eleni.davis@richlandone.org.

Prom permission forms for A.C. Flora students, as well as outside guests, are now available in the Main Office and the Media Center! Please return your signature page to Ms. Michel in room 349 or Ms. Jacobs in room 355 (or Mr. Hearn in room 822 for outside guests!) by Thursday, April 23, at the latest. Click here for more information.

Each year, the Counseling Office asks the Senior class to complete two forms prior to the end of the year:

1. The Class of 2026 AC Flora Senior Scholarship Form tells the counseling department and the school district how much scholarship money you were offered from colleges and universities. You need to report ALL money received, even to schools you do not plan to attend. You should fill out this form each time you receive a new scholarship offer. This form can be completed multiple times so that you can add additional scholarships when they are received.

2. The Class of 2026 Senior Post-High School Information Sheet tells us what your plans are for next year.

Thank you!

Upcoming college and career visits:

All visits take place during Flight Time in the college room in guidance unless otherwise indicated.

Wednesday, April 15: U.S. Air Force
