We are excited to inform you about the Berkeley County Device Summer Program, which allows students to take their school-issued devices home during the summer months. This initiative aims to support ongoing learning and provide students will access to educational resources.

Option to Opt-Out: Participation in the Device Summer Program is OPTIONAL. Please indicate your preference by filling out the form below. THIS FORM MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN WEDNESDAY, MAY 21ST.

Device Care Reminders:To ensure the longevity and proper functioning of the devices, please remind your child of the following are guidelines:

• Make good choices. All devices are heavily monitored.

• Charge the device regularly and avoid overcharging.
• Keep the device in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
• Keep it in the case to minimize physical damage.
• Handle the device with clean hands and keep it away from food and drinks.

Repair Requests:In the event of any damage to the device during the summer, please submit a repair request through the BCS website using the Summer Repair Request link under the IT Help Desk.

Monitoring Usage:Please note that iPads will be monitored for in appropriate use to ensure a safe and productive environment for all students. Any misuse will be addressed according to the school policies.
