Familias de la Escuela Primaria James John,

Gracias a todos los que participaron en nuestro evento Walk and Roll to School esta mañana. Desafortunadamente no pude asistir y, citando a un estudiante, "Había muchísima gente". Parece que fue todo un éxito, gracias a todos los que ayudan a gestionar y dirigir el autobús en bicicleta también.

También quiero agradecer a los padres que han estado ayudando en las mañanas y las tardes con nuestra Patrulla de Seguridad James John. Usted ayuda a mantener seguros a nuestros estudiantes. Estamos muy agradecidos por su apoyo.

Días para resaltar en su calendario para la próxima semana:

el miércoles será la salida temprana para los estudiantes a las 11:30 a. m., planifique en consecuencia la recogida y el viernes tendremos nuestra Asamblea de Estudiante del Mes James John. El tema de este mes ha sido la resolución de problemas. Las boletas de calificaciones se han publicado; siga leyendo para saber cómo puede acceder a la boleta de calificaciones de su hijo/a. Eso es todo por ahora.

Thank you all who participated in our Walk and Roll to School Event this morning. Unfortunately I could not make it and to quote a student, “ There were like soooo many people”. Sounds like it was quite the success thank you all of you who help manage and lead the bike bus as well.

I also want to thank the parents that have been helping in the mornings and afternoons with our James John Safety Patrol. You help keep our students safe. We are so grateful for your support.

Wednesday will be early release for students at 11:30am, please plan accordingly for pick-up and Friday we have our James John Student of the Month Assembly. This month’s theme has been, problem solving. Report Cards are live, please read on to learn how you can access your child’s report card. That is all for now.

Greetings All! I am sure that this gorgeous warm weather is a welcome relief from the cold and rainy springs that we are accustomed to here in the NW. The sudden shift has resulted in everything blooming at once and very high pollen counts. I just wanted to offer some tips for those students who suffer from allergies.

• Drink plenty of water-doing so helps to thin mucous

• Wash face and hands after playing outside to remove pollen

• Discourage scratching of eyes-use clean, wet compresses for relief of itching instead

• If possible, when temperatures permit, wear a jacket to protect clothes from pollen

• Allergens exacerbate asthma symptoms so make sure that your child adheres to any home maintenance program and has access to their rescue inhaler during field trips
