As we wrap up another incredible school year, I want to take a moment to thank our Thunder Eagle families for your partnership, support, and trust. It has been a joy to watch our students learn, grow, build friendships, and soar to new heights throughout the year.

Together, we celebrated academic successes, supported one another through challenges, and created lasting memories. None of this would be possible without the dedication of our staff and the strong partnership we share with our families. Thank you for volunteering, attending events, communicating with teachers, and cheering on your children every step of the way.

As summer begins, I encourage everyone to take time to rest, recharge, and enjoy special moments together. Summer is also a wonderful opportunity to keep learning alive through reading, exploring nature, visiting local parks and libraries, trying new experiences, and spending time with family and friends.

To our students: We are so proud of all you have accomplished this year! Keep practicing your SOAR expectations, stay curious, be kind, and most importantly, have fun this summer.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall for another exciting year of learning and growth. Until then, have a safe, relaxing, and wonderful summer break!

📢 Half Day Early Release Reminder

Tuesday, June 16, is a half-day early release for all students. School will dismiss at 11:40 a.m. Please make arrangements for your child's transportation and after-school care as needed. Lunch will not be served before dismissal. Thank you for helping us ensure a smooth and successful end to the school day!

💊 Student Medication Pick Up

Please schedule a time to pick up your student's medications from the health room prior to summer break. EpiPen's must remain in the health room until the last day of your students' attendance at school as required by state law. Medications that are not picked up prior to the health room closing for the summer will be destroyed per state guidelines. Due to possible construction in the health room ALL medications must be picked up or destroyed prior to summer break

*Students are not allowed to pick up medications from the health room per Washington State law.

Field Day is on Thursday June 11th, so parents with students who require an inhaler may want to pick up at a later date.

Times the nurse will be available in the health room outside of the scheduled school day hours include:

Wednesday June 10th 5:30 PM to 7 PM at Celebration Night

Friday June 12th until 1:00 PM

Tuesday June 16th 8 AM until 2:30 PM

Please call the health room with further questions or concerns.

📦 Planning for the 2026–27 School Year

As we begin preparing for next school year, we kindly ask families to notify the school office as soon as possible if your student will not be returning to LRE in the fall. Having this information helps us with class placement, staffing, and planning to ensure a smooth start to the school year for all students.

If your family is moving or your child will be attending a different school next year, please contact the office by phone or email. We appreciate your help and partnership as we prepare for another great year at LRE!
