Chaperones Needed: 6th Grade Science Trip

6th grade students will visit the Perot Museum of Nature and Science April 13th and 14th. Student's who have science on A-days will visit the Perot April 13th, and student's who have science on B-days will visit the Perot April 14th. The Perot Museum has a student to adult ratio of 7 students to 1 adult, so we are recruiting 25 chaperones each day. If you are interested in attending and chaperoning at no cost to you, please complete this Google form, and then complete the Tyler ISD Volunteer Form.

UIL Choir Competition

Our Moore UIL treble choir received Straight 1's (highest score from all judges) on stage and straight 2's in sight reading! They came home with some hardware! These students worked very hard and it paid off. We are very proud of them, and of Mrs. Turner, our Choir Director.

STAAR Tutorials STAAR Tutorials

On Friday, March 10, TITLE I STAAR Review Packets were sent home with students who ordered them.

Moore is offering after school tutorials and Saturday School opportunities to select students in need of accelerated instruction. According to Texas House Bill 4545, students who did not meet expectations on a STAAR test must complete 30 additional hours of instruction. To provide this support Moore MST is offering additional tutorials, and your child’s teacher may recommend that they attend. Please stand by for an invitation letter and/or a phone call from your child's teacher.

Tutorials will be staffed by Moore faculty who will utilize innovative and engaging strategies to help students close achievement gaps. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity to further prepare your child for the upcoming STAAR test.
