  • A student at Keewahdin that wore nice clothes every Friday was asked why he dressed up on Friday and he replied because it is “Fancy Friday.” He liked to wear a different nice outfit each Friday so we adopted his philosophy and label the day “Fancy Friday.” Students are welcome to wear fancy clothes on Friday. Even though the student is now in high school, we honor the tradition he started.

  • A washer and dryer have been purchased and installed to help when accidents happen.

  • Dye free laundry detergent will be used in the washer while no fabric softener will be used in the dryer. This is being done to get clothes clean while staying away from perfumes that can cause skin irritation.

  • Our goal is to have students switch into clean loaner clothes during school day while we put their clothing into the washer and dryer to get it clean for them to wear home. This will alleviate the need for parents to clean the loaner clothes and send them back to school.

  • Thank you to the PTA for purchasing the washer and dryer for Keewahdin!
